Interview with a High School Technology Leader

Interview:
In a quick summary, what is the plan for our district and technology?
To continue to incorporate cutting edge technology in the classroom by trying to get the level of 1:1 ratio of computers to students... that is the end goal. Instead of students taking them home, each classroom would get a set of computers. This probably won’t happen anytime soon.
Is the funding sufficient? For the plan no, but in terms of school budget, all technology related issues go through the technology committee and most money at our district gets put into technology. Do you think you are allocated enough money district wide to do what you want to do here at this school? We are allocated the money and we can do whatever we want with it, but is it sufficient, no.
Is your staff sufficient? No, there isn’t enough people, always searching for people to help, it is constant. There are 5 per high school that help with requests.
How about the training, is there sufficient training available for you and your staff? I think so, there is open training for paying for training and offering the training I have needed.
How would you rate the support of technology in our schools? I would say it is above average, i think we have a nice support system, people that have been around technology for quite some time and people that are excited about technology. We have monthly meetings district wide to meet with updates an goings on...
